Sometime back my wife brought to my attention an online resource, Film & History. This site is rooted in the print journal with the same title. That publication came out of the work of the Historians Film Committee, founded by John E. O’Connor and Martin A. Jackson in 1970. The history of this effort is located here.

History Resource Spotlight: Jazz Age ChicagoThe Internet still strikes me, at times, as a strange and wonderful place. An instance of this occurred a few days ago upon discovering an history site, Jazz Age Chicago, authored by an old friend and colleague, Scott A. New Chicago History SiteIf you're interested in the history of Chicago, especially its architecture, check out this new creation: Forgotten Chicago.
I'm reasonably impressed, especially with its pictures of the built environment. Here is the site's mission statement.
Forgotten Chicago is not about historical analysis, but it looks to be a solid starting point for a memory, or architectural, study of the city. - TL
